The 2008 Twins comparables

I know WWWWWW is a big fan of Baseball Prospectus’ list of comparables (they are only supposed to suggest what a player might do in a particular year) in their big book. Here’s a look at your Minnesota Twins through the lens of my favorite BP comps.

C – Mauer (his comparables are depressing…Mark Grace?)
1B – Carlos Delgado
2B – Michael Young
3B – Catfish Metkovich
SS – Alvaro Espinoza
RF – Jermaine Dye
CF – Terrance Long
LF – Vlad Guerrero
DH – Paul O’Neill

I bet this team would score more runs than the actual 2008 Twins.
