Limar Wilson could Dominate

Former gopher PG Limar Wilson has transferred to Division II Tarleton State, located in Texas. Wilson, who averaged 4 points and 2 assists in 24 minutes per game last season, could be halfway decent in D2.

Wilson was a preseason junior college all-american at Northeast Community College in Nebraska and was ranked the 23rd best JuCo player before signing with Minnesota, and averaged 17 points and 7 assists per game his sophomore season.

Clearly, he isn't a Big Ten caliber of player, but D2 should be a nice fit. Thanks again Dan Monson, for your awesome recruiting!

Is anyone else a little worried that Tubby Smith has the knock of not being a very good recruiter too? I mean, his name will help and all, but won't it take more than that to retain the big time MN kids who are getting attention from the Kansases and the Dukes?

I don't know if he's necessarily not a good recruiter. Sure, at Kentucky the name of the school does a lot of the recruiting for you, but he had success at Tulsa and Georgia as well. We'll see.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that Tubby might be a good recruiter. But he might not be.
But he could be awesome. Or pretty horrible. On the other hand, he might just be average.
