Are you a Pohlad? Is that 150k coming out of your inheritance? If not get over it.

As for Dozier I totally agree that the Twins shouldn't handcuff themselves to a likely 30/30 guy. Those guys are a dime a dozen. I despise guys with great hair that are powerful yet fleet of foot. Yawn.

I say they trade him for a bag of wrenches or just cut him and get Rosario on the next plane out of Fort Meyers.

Dawgnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6350747157402784213.post-27856217654220765572014-05-29T11:30:08.169-05:002014-05-29T11:30:08.169-05:00dawg,

Rather to make sure you are not blocking the progress of better players, because you are locked into a guaranteed contract with an older, average player. The good teams recognize this (see Rays, Tampa Bay).
However, it's tough to point out logic, when a man has a boner for another man.rghrbeknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6350747157402784213.post-72319429907405689972014-05-28T16:58:08.898-05:002014-05-28T16:58:08.898-05:00WWW - I figured that you were going to tie in your...WWW - I figured that you were going to tie in your apology to me in this post for previously mocking my Dozier love.

PS You still owe me $20 for the Russell Wilson bet.
PPS Rghrbek - maybe you should take a chill pill. He does turn 28 (if he hasn't already) right?

My point is, if I were the twins, I would use up his arbitration years (not sure how many he has left, that's up to you to research), and then trade him if he is still producing. Why sign him when he's 28 or 29 to a 5 year deal? Plus with Rossario back, who has put up way better numbers in the minors than Dozier, well the Twins should let this play out.

Also, there is a chance YOUR guy Kubel is gone by Wednesday.
Per Twins Centric:
"Since April 13, when his red-hot start basically came to an end, the veteran's slash line is .187/.293/.206. Yes that's a .206 slugging percentage over a period of seven weeks from a player who was brought in almost solely for his ability to hit."

That is horseshit! He is due a 150,000 roster bonus on Wednesday. I say cut him loose. The twins won't, they will let him fester and take up a roster spot because he was and now is again, one of us.rghrbeknoreply@blogger.com
